Unit 12: Audience & Branding
It is really important that you understand the needs of clients when you work with them. We often set both year 1 & 2 students up with audience related tasks asking them to recreate a new advertising poster for a famous brand. At The Edge you will develop the brand concept, source your materials, shoot the advert on location or in our studio and then design the final advertisement.
Our Studio
Students often collaborate with each other on different project ideas. Even with different courses on the same campus at Folkestone College. Our record stands at 4 different courses from both the Folkestone & Dover campuses working together on a client led fashion shoot.
Unit 5: Experimenting with Studio Portraiture
Developing portrait themes and learning new techniques around studio portraiture is fundamental to Unit 5. These images are a selection of 1st year student Chloe’s experiments.
Unit 7: Youth Clothing
An informative and creative multimedia video from 1st year student Sam as he explores the cost of clothes & fashion with his friends.
Unit 10: Editorial & fashion based portrait experiments.
2nd Year student Tabitha continues her portrait experiments with her unit 10 assignment. The 2nd year and unit 10 is a really important stage in our students career pathway choice as they use unit 10 to start developing their commercial print & on-line portfolios for their university applications and career pathway choices.
